Dr. Heath Bills has been in private practice since graduating from The National College of Chiropractic (now the National University of Health Sciences) in Chicago, IL since 1999. In 2002 he began to focus on treating injured athletes and obtained the credentials as a Certified Chiropractic Extremities Practitioner (CCEP) in 2009.
While practicing in Northern Virginia, his practice included professional athletes in football, basketball, soccer, ice hockey and mixed martial arts, as well as a variety of Olympic athletes. Dr. Bills has lectured nationally regarding sports injuries and prevention. He has also been referred to as an expert witness in extremities malpractice litigation.
In 2019, Our Health Magazine awarded Dr. Bills with a Bronze Medal for “Best Bedside Manner.” This prestigious award is nominated and voted upon by patients and readers of the magazine.
Over the last 5 years, Dr. Bills has transitioned his clinical practice towards spinal ligament injuries, headaches and chronic neck and back pain. He recently completed an Advanced Examination and Proficiency for Smart Injury Doctors and adheres to the Best Practices set forth for Accurate and Complete Diagnosis of spinal ligament injuries. Dr. Bills is currently enrolled in a Post-Doctoral program with the Academy of Chiropractic and State University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences to be certified in Primary Spine Care .
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Bills enjoys spending time with his family doing outdoor activities including hiking and kayaking.
